This charming town, perched on the mountains, is renowned for its white and blue-painted buildings, offering stunning urban scenery and a serene atmosphere. The locals are kind and respectful, and the town boasts beautiful local crafts. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Day 2: Chefchaouen - Volubilis - Moulay Idriss - Fes
On the second day, we leave the enchanting Chefchaouen and travel to Fes, the first of Morocco’s imperial cities and home to one of the world's oldest universities. Along the way, we’ll visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, a well preserved archaeological site, and enjoy panoramic views of the holy city of Moulay Idriss, where we will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive in Fes, where you can take in the sunset, explore the medina’s walls and gates, or relax with a welcome tea on the riad’s terrace. Dinner and accommodation will be provided at the riad.
Day 3: Fes - Ifrane - Middle Atlas - Cedar Forest - Midelt
After breakfast, we’ll embark on a guided tour of the Fes medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its labyrinthine streets and historic guilds of potters and dyers. Leaving Fes, we journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at Ifrane, often called the "Switzerland of Morocco," and the cedar forests, where you can observe wild monkeys in their natural habitat. Our day ends with dinner and an overnight stay in Midelt.

The adventure continues as we cross the High Atlas Mountains and head into Morocco’s southern region. Along the way, the landscape transforms into striking red earth, deep valleys like the Ziz Valley, and palm groves. Upon arriving at the impressive sand dunes of Merzouga, we’ll swap vehicles for camels and ride into the desert to watch a breathtaking sunset over the dunes. You’ll spend the night at a traditional camp under a starlit sky, enjoying music and dancing around a campfire with local nomads.
Day 5: Merzouga - Rissani - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley
After breakfast, we bid farewell to the desert and make our way to Rissani to visit its vibrant souk (market), where locals from surrounding villages trade goods. Next, we journey to the Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon with towering vertical walls, perfect for a leisurely walk and exploration.
