Tour Plan
Day 1: Marrakech to Boumalne Dades via the Atlas Mountains
On the first morning of our 4-day tour from Marrakech to Fes, we leave Marrakech and head through the High Atlas Mountains. We cross the famous Tizi N’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters above sea level. Along the way, we stop at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its traditional clay and stone buildings. This kasbah has appeared in many famous movies.
After exploring Ait Benhaddou, we enjoy lunch at a local Berber restaurant. Then, we drive to Dades Valley, passing through Ouarzazate, also called the "Hollywood of Morocco." We stop to take photos near the Atlas Film Studios and the historic Taourirt Kasbah. Next, we visit the palm groves of Skoura and the beautiful Valley of Roses before arriving in Dades Valley. Here, we spend the night in a comfortable hotel or riad, with dinner and breakfast included.
Day 2: Boumalne Dades to the Sahara Desert via Todra Gorges
After breakfast, we start the second day of our Marrakech to Fes desert tour. We drive towards Todra Gorges, passing the lush palm groves and stunning views of Todra Valley. At the gorges, you can walk through the narrow canyon and enjoy the towering rock walls.
We continue to Tinjdad, where we stop for a lunch break. Then, we head to Erfoud, a town famous for its fossil workshops. From Erfoud, we drive to the Erg Chebbi Desert, home to Morocco's largest sand dunes. Here, you will ride camels across the orange dunes, take photos of the breathtaking sunset, and arrive at your desert camp.
At the camp, enjoy a traditional dinner, Berber music around the fire, and an unforgettable night under the stars. You can stay in a luxury or standard tent, depending on your choice.
Day 3: Exploring Merzouga Desert and Meeting Nomads
After breakfast, we explore the Merzouga Desert. First, we visit Khamlia Village, where the local people, originally from Africa, welcome us with their traditional Gnaoua music. Enjoy tea with them and learn about their history.
Next, we visit the Mfis Oasis, a small Berber village near old copper and coal mines. Then, we continue to Merdane Village, where you can meet local Berber families and learn about their daily lives. After this cultural experience, we return to Merzouga for lunch.
You can relax at your hotel or riad for the rest of the day. Dinner and breakfast are included.
Day 4: Merzouga Desert to Fes via Ziz Valley and Ifrane
On the final day of our tour, we wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we leave the desert and drive to Erfoud, where we visit a fossil workshop. We then follow the road through the beautiful Ziz Valley, stopping for photos of the palm groves.
Next, we pass through Midelt, known as the "apple capital of Morocco," where we stop for lunch. Afterward, we visit the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to wild Barbary monkeys. You can take photos and enjoy the forest.
Our journey continues to Ifrane, often called the "Switzerland of Morocco." This city is famous for its clean streets, gardens, and the Atlas Lion statue. After a short walk, we drive to Fes, where we drop you off at your accommodation or the airport.
This marks the end of your 4-day tour from Marrakech to Fes, with memories of the Atlas Mountains, Sahara Desert, and Berber culture.
