Tour Plan
Day 1: Marrakech → Atlas Mountains → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Gorges
Join us on an exciting 4-day adventure from Marrakech to the amazing Merzouga Desert. We’ll pick you up from your accommodation and start the journey by driving through the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll make several stops so you can enjoy the beautiful views.
Our first major stop is the ancient village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This place has been featured in famous movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After exploring the site and having lunch, we’ll continue through Ouarzazate and the Rose Valley, known for its roses and charming small villages.
Later, we’ll pass by the unique rock formations of the Dades Gorges, often called "monkey fingers" due to their shapes. We’ll end the day at your hotel, where you can enjoy dinner, relax, and spend the night.
Day 2: Dades Gorges → Todra Gorge → Merzouga Desert
Start your day with breakfast at your hotel in the Dades Gorges. We’ll then head to Todra Gorge, a stunning canyon with walls reaching 300 meters high. You can take a short walk and enjoy the peaceful environment.
In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to the Merzouga Desert. As we approach, you’ll see the towering sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by friendly camels that will take you on a ride to your desert camp.
At the camp, watch the breathtaking sunset from the top of a dune. Spend the evening enjoying traditional music under the stars and a delicious dinner before sleeping in your desert tent.
Day 3: Merzouga → Khamlia → Rissani → Draa Valley → Ouarzazate
Wake up early to watch the magical sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we’ll return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4 vehicle. Our next stop is the village of Khamlia, known for its unique Gnawa music. Enjoy a live performance and learn about this traditional art.
We’ll continue to Rissani, a town famous for its local market on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Here, you can explore the market and see the way of life in this historic town.
From there, we’ll drive through the Draa Valley, which is filled with palm trees and small villages, until we reach Ouarzazate. This city is often called the "Hollywood of Morocco" due to its film studios. You’ll spend the night here after a relaxing evening.
Day 4: Ouarzazate → Atlas Mountains → Marrakech
After breakfast, we’ll visit the famous Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. Then, we’ll drive back to Marrakech through the High Atlas Mountains, taking in the scenic landscapes along the way.
The tour ends in Marrakech, where we’ll drop you off at your accommodation. You’ll return with unforgettable memories of the desert, mountains, and Moroccan culture.
