This 9 days tour from Casablanca to Marrakech will take you to many of Morocco’s most famous places. We start in Rabat, the capital city, where we visit important historical and cultural spots. Then, we travel to Chefchaouen, a beautiful town painted in blue, known as the “Blue Pearl of Morocco.” After that, we visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis, an old city with ancient buildings. Next, we go to Meknes, one of Morocco’s four imperial cities, and then to Fes, another imperial city full of history and culture.
After Fez, we travel through many different parts of Morocco. We stop in Ifrane, a city that looks like Europe, with clean streets and cool weather. Then, we visit the cedar forest in Azrou, where you might see monkeys. Later, we go to Midelt, a town famous for its apples, and continue to the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. In the desert, you can ride camels, watch the sunset over the sand dunes, and sleep in a camp under the stars.
Next, we visit the Todgha Gorges, where tall cliffs create a beautiful canyon. We also see green valleys, small villages with clay and stone houses, and places where movies are filmed. Finally, we arrive in Marrakech, the “Red City,” where you can visit busy markets, old palaces, and lovely gardens. After enjoying Marrakech, we drive back to Casablanca to finish the tour.
On the first day of your 9 days tour from Casablanca, we will pick you up from the airport or your hotel to begin your journey. The tour starts with a visit to Casablanca, where you will explore some of its famous landmarks. The highlight is the Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Africa and the third largest in the Arab world, built in 1993. After exploring Casablanca, we will drive to Rabat, Morocco’s capital city. In Rabat, you will visit the Oudayas Kasbah, a beautiful coastal fortress built by the Moorish family in the 17th century. You will also see the Hassan Tower, an incomplete mosque from the 12th century. If time allows, you may visit other sites like the Chellah Necropolis and the Royal Palace. You will spend the night at a hotel or riad in Rabat.
After breakfast, we will leave Rabat and drive towards the stunning blue city of Chefchaouen. Along the way, you will pass through breathtaking Berber villages and the scenic Rif Mountains. We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing through winding mountain roads and picturesque valleys. By the afternoon, we will reach Chefchaouen, where you can rest at your hotel. Later, you can explore the charming streets of this unique city and enjoy a peaceful evening. You will spend the night in a hotel or riad.
In the morning, after breakfast, we will drive to Fes, stopping first at Volubilis, an ancient Roman city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you can walk among the well-preserved ruins, admire beautiful mosaics, and see ancient pillars and arches. From Volubilis, we will continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and the Ismaili capital. In Meknes, you will visit sites like Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani Basin, the royal stables, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After exploring Meknes, we will drive to Fes, where you will stay overnight in a riad or hotel.
After breakfast, a local guide will take you on a cultural and historical tour of Fes. The tour begins with a visit to the King’s Palace and the Jewish Quarter, known as El Mellah. Next, you will enjoy a panoramic view of Fes from one of the nearby Borj towers. Then, you will explore the famous Blue Gate, the main entrance to the old medina. Inside the medina, you can stroll through the bustling souks and visit notable sites, including the University of Al-Qarawiyyin, the world’s oldest university, and the traditional tanneries where leather is made. You will also see Fes ceramics, a unique art form in the city. The night will be spent at your accommodation in Fes.
After breakfast, we will leave Fes and head south. The first stop is Ifrane, a city known for its cool weather, snow, and Swiss-style architecture. Next, we will drive through the cedar forest near Azrou, where you can see and feed Barbary macaques. Afterward, we will continue to Midelt for lunch before driving through the Ziz Valley, enjoying panoramic views of palm trees and gorges. By late afternoon, we will arrive in Merzouga, where camels will take you across the golden sand dunes to watch the sunset. You will spend the night in a desert camp, enjoying Berber music, dinner, and the magical night sky.
Start your day early to watch the sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4, and then drive to Rissani to explore its traditional market, one of the largest in southern Morocco. Next, we will visit the Todgha Gorges, known for their dramatic cliffs and beautiful canyon. After lunch at a nearby restaurant, we will continue to the Dades Valley, famous for its “monkey fingers” rock formations and ancient kasbahs. You will spend the night in a hotel or riad overlooking the valley.
After breakfast, we will leave the Dades Valley and travel along the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs, stopping at Kalaat M’Gouna, the Valley of Roses, to see local rose products. Next, we will visit Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Morocco," and explore the Atlas Film Studios. We will also stop at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous filming location for movies and TV shows. After lunch, we will drive through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, and arrive in Marrakech by evening. You will stay overnight at your accommodation.
A local guide will take you on a tour of Marrakech, starting with its historic medina. You will visit the Koutoubia Mosque, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and the bustling Jamaa El Fna square. In the afternoon, you can explore the Majorelle Garden and visit the modern district of Gueliz. You will have free time to shop or relax before returning to your hotel.
On the final day of your tour, your driver will pick you up from your accommodation and transfer you to the airport in Marrakech or Casablanca, depending on your departure time. This concludes your 9 days tour of Morocco.
